James
Hairston, a double for guitar great B.B. King, joined his first band while a senior in
high school in St. Albans, West Virginia, as a vocalist. James soon found that his real
passion was playing bass guitar. He honed his genius with the bass by picking up pointers
from other bass players. Through the years, James has been with several popular bands, but
he found a permanent musical home in 1997 when he joined Santa Cruz. Although the bass is
his first love, he can often be seen joining in on vocals and occasionally singing lead. |
