I haven't seen the band in a while and I have to say, you all sound and look better than ever. You guys now have the most amazing vocals of any other band around! And the stage presence is unbelievable! Keep up the good work, and don't change a thing!Tonto Chawolski: Great Band!!!!!! You made the Rock and Roll Fantasy party a huge success!!! Sonny & Cher Janya Seams: Hats off to the Santa Cruz Band!! YOU ROCK!! I had the pleasure of dancing the night away to the musical sounds of your talented band on Saturday night at Carnegie Hall's Rock and Roll Fantasy - Lewisburg WV. You all are so awesome. As an aspiring singer, I was spell bound at the range of the vocalists, the precision that each musician possessed and the overall sound of The Band. Then you had the nerve to make it all seem so effortless. KUDOS TO ALL. Congratulations and God BlessYou. Brenda McClung: I heard your band last night in Lewisburg WV at the Rock and Roll Fantasy. Your band is awesone! Ben and Kaitlin Keenan: Hey Santa Cruz! Thank you guys so much for being a part of our day! Your music at our wedding reception made all the difference! They had our attendees on the dance floor for the entire event and really catered their song choices to our group. It was a fantastic night that was only made better by the Santa Cruz Band!! Rebecca Zurcher, Director of Meetings, International Association of Defense Counsel,Chicago, Illinois Ri-Chelle Oliver: Great pics on your site. Would love to hear you in person Kersey. Jackie C: I caught the band at Charleston's Live on the Levee tonight (May 30, 2008) and they are the best. The crowd was huge and everyone/every age enjoyed the concert. Not many bands can rock 6 to 60 with so much class. Loved the Aretha Franklin and would like to hear the male singer try some Gnarls Barkley. You guys were fantastic!!! Ann H. Robinette - Community Health Network of WV: Hello Judy and Band! You guys just played at our Annual Conference at the Embassy Suites in Charleston and there are no words to truly describe how wonderful the Band was....well then, perhaps one word.....AWESOME! I (we) totally loved them, and would like to have them back at our next Conference........I would recommend the Band to anyone!!!!!!! john and patty: The band played at our wedding and they were awesome. I introduced them as the best band in West Virginia and they lived up to the title, however I should have introduced them as the best in the east coast. They could not have been better. Their mix of music worked for all ages. Charles Shelton JR: Hey You guys are tight and music is too. I am sure "The Johhny Speaks", will be a great addition to the band! You guys take care and have fun!! Dave Bosley: We love spending an evening listening and dancing with Santa Cruz, so much so we had hoped to plan our Myrtle Beach vacation around a time the band might be booked for a gig down there. Sorry to hear that has not worked out for summer of 2008. We'll continue to check the web-site for public dates and hope we can vacation next season in Myrtle spending our evenings with our favorite band. Hope you keep that SAX player with the band, he really adds a lot. It's obvious you people love what you're doing. Cristy V. Puzon-Ramos: Heard your band from one of my co-worker. I just checked the weather: It's 27 degrees in Charleston, and 60 degrees in Myrtle Beach. Ya cold? The 3 weeks of winter we get here goes by fast (60 degrees & sunshine IS winter). When are you folks playing at MB? Before you come, learn some Shag dancing songs. I can't help with that, though: I've been here 2 years and still don't know what Shag is... Roland Cook, Jr.: Simply speaking, you folks play good music-and play it well! That's why local people like myself feel so blessed to take in your shows. Seeing the children dance was wonderful! They weren't concerned with who may have been looking on. They were celebrating life...it's too bad we as adults don't follow their lead more often! Best wishes to you all! R.E.Scott : Hello S C band,R.E.Scott here. I just wanted to write and tell you all what i think of your band, (excellent). I had a gig lined up sat eve in marietta ohio at 700 pm. I play congas and drumset also. We finished at about 830 so i thought i would cruz down to belpre and listen to you all play. I had no idea what i was in for because i have never heard you all play before. When i got there that pagent was still going on so i went behind the stage to check out the drumset,I love drums and i have only been playing for 7 years so i am still learning new things on them, anyhow i ended up watching the whole concert setting on the back of your equipment truck. You are all top notch musicians and i liked all of your songs, but i really want to tell the drummer how much i enjoyed listening to and watching him play.I have seen lots of professional drummers play but that cat takes the cake,he does things on those drums i have never seen any other drummer do. I play an electronic drum kit where i attend church and i also play 3 venues each month,i notice my drumming slowly improving but i guess i will think i have arrived when i can play like he does. I was wondering if you all have any video tapes or dvds with him drumming on them that i can order? I have to learn some of those awesome licks he does . Well I geuss i bettet close now. GOD bless, later. Roland Cook, Jr.: Hi Judy and Band! We caught your act at last week's celebration in Dunbar. About 2 years back, we watched and listened as you opened for Big Planet Soul at a celebration in Nitro. (That's when they still had Tim Coll on guitar.) Simply stated, you folks are fabulous! As a lifelong music lover, I can honestly say that you nail it every time! As always, Judy was beautiful and never missed a note. Your guitar player ripped out a tone surprisingly similar to Brian May of Queen! I don't even know if he realized that! But I closley listened and for a few seconds, he coaxed forth that violin like sustain! Your bass man, in a word, is awesome! The drums and keyboards were flawless. The men on vocals did the songs beautiful justice. Thanks for being the warm and wonderful people that you are! Thanks be to God for the ability to hear, and may God bless your efforts as you spread the joy of music! Roland Randy: I also heard the band and I think you guys are awesome, especially the guitar player! Steve: Great job on this Rick! James: Great band!! Rick: I hope you like our guestbook! |
